Well, the latest Oscar hosts have been announced, and interestingly enough, the selections have surprised quite a lot of fans. It was recently announced that Anne Hathaway, 28, and James Franco, 32, would be the host of the 83rd annual Academy Awards ceremony that is scheduled to take place on February 27.

It seems that the producers of the show are attempting to continue on with a double-act Oscar hosting attempt that they tried last year with Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin. However, plenty of the reviewers were disappointed with the outcome, and reported that they were nostalgic for David Letterman’s performance in 1995.
However, the co-producer of the Oscars, Don Mischer, recently announced confidence in the host choice for this year. “They both have a great sense of humor and a great sense of comedy,” he said. Not only that, but they are some of the youngest hosts of the Oscars, and reviewers are wondering if this will help or hurt the pair during the event.
Franco could be nominated for an Academy Award this year, for his role in “127 Hours”, the story of a hiker who was trapped and cut off his own arm in order to survive.
