Oscar-winning actress Mo'Nique will help read aloud the names of this year's nominees in Los Angeles, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences said. Mo'Nique won her Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her work in the 2009 film "Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire."

She will appear alongside Academy President Tom Sherak Jan. 25 to announce the nominations for the 83rd Academy Awards, organizers said Tuesday. The pair are to unveil the nominations in 10 of the 24 categories at a 5:30 a.m. PT news conference at the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, where hundreds of media representatives from around the world are expected to gather. Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2010 are to be presented Feb. 27 at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center, and televised live on the ABC Television Network.
