James Franco has been the subject of many unflattering comments since the night he hosted the Oscars with Anne Hathaway. Most remarks were targeted at Franco’s laid back mannerisms, suggesting that he was stoned throughout the show.

Franco finally replied to the criticism recently on the Dave Letterman Show. Franco is adamant that he was not under the influence during the show. He claims that Anne Hathaway is such an overly energetic person that no one can keep up with her. He even suggested that the Tasmanian Devil would looked stoned compared to her. Franco admitted that he has not seen the show since it was filmed and is hoping that all of the negative hype will eventually die down.
