Moneyball, the story of how Billy Beane and the Oakland Athletics revolutionized the way baseball was looked at by those in the front offices all across the league, was a fan-favorite at the box offices. As for the movie critics across the country, many of them enjoyed it and created Oscar buzz for the flick.

As the 2011-2012 award shows start to roll around, 'Moneyball' already won big at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards. Steven Zaillian and Aaron Sorkin took home the award for Best Screenplay, while Brad Pitt, the star of the film, won Best Actor for his portrayal of Billy Beane. This is a great honor for the film and it can only mean good things moving forward with the Oscars and Golden Globes on their way.For those of you who have not seen Moneyball, do yourself a favor and find it at your local theater this weekend. You won't regret it.
