Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) - The Oscars will be held on February 27 next year. Academy President Tom Sherak announced the key schedule dates leading to the prestigious awards show on Thursday.The event will still be held at the Kodark Theater in Hollywood. ABC will televise the show.
It is still too early for the Academy to announce or even assign a host for next year’s awards. This year, hosts Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin helped increase the show’s ratings by almost 12 percent from 2009.

* Dec 1: Official Screen Credits forms due
* Dec 27: Nominations ballots mailed
* Jan 14, 2011: Nominations poll close 5 p.m. PT
* Jan 25: Nominations announced 5:30 a.m. PT, Samuel Goldwyn Theater
* Feb 2: Final ballots mailed
* Feb 7: Nominees luncheon
* Feb 12: Scientific and Technical Awards presentation
* Feb 22: Final polls close 5 p.m. PT
* Feb 27: 83rd Annual Academy Awards presentation
