Finally, my dear award nuts, you've had the chance to see "The Social Network," the film we Oscar bloggers have been hailing as the front-runner to win best picture. Do you agree? "The Social Network" performed well at theaters this past weekend, earning $23 million, thus "positioning itself for a strong box-office run so long as audiences keep on pressing the 'like' button," reports the L.A. Times.

Oscars Poll: Will 'The Social Network' win best picture?

Reax from actual Oscar voters were mostly positive at its official screening at the academy theater on Saturday night, according to Deadline, Hollywood Reporter and Indiewire. Gold Derby's scouts also reported huzzahs like this spy account sent to us via e-mail from an academy member late Saturday:    "Social Network" was strongly received by an audience of about 850 at tonight's AMPAS/Beverly Hills screening with enthusiastic applause at end and after credit roll. Much discussion about the film in lobby afterward. Members embraced the acting, dialogue and production values and were intensely interested in the story. Film is clearly a top contender in all categories except actresses.

Of course, you still haven't seen the film we say is its chief challenger in the best-picture derby — "The King's Speech" — but you can bone up on it here. Below are some other options.
